As a former rapper, singer, and dancer I can truly understand how powerful metaphors are. Socrates compared the human mind to a “ship in which the sailors had mutinied and locked up the Captain.” Jesus likened the Kingdom of God to a “hidden treasure” and a “wedding feast.” Rappers are most commonly known for their use of metaphors. They combine rhyming and cadences that gives even more insight into their use of metaphors. Metaphors can give us a fresh insight into a life problem or situation.
